Chelsea reach FA Cup finals after 3-1 win over Man United at Wembley

– Man United vs Chelsea ended in a 3-1 win as the Blues booked a place in the FA Cup finals

– Two quick-fire goals from Giroud, Mount and Maguire’s own goal sealed a win for Chelsea

– The west London side will now take on Arsenal in the finals of the domestic cup

Chelsea have booked a place in the FA Cup finals following their 3-1 win over Man United on Sunday, July 19, at Wembley Stadium.

Olivier Giroud’s goal at the stroke of half time and Mason Mount’s second half low shot effort after a David de Gea howler were enough to earn Chelsea a crucial win.

United came into the match in fine shape after going unbeaten in 19 matches in all competitions.

The Blues were out to seek a perfect revenge over the Red Devils, having suffered defeat in the hands of the Old Trafford dwellers thrice this season.

The west London side was undoubtedly the better side from the blow of the whistle, dominating proceedings from the opening exchanges.

Both Marcos Alonso and Mason Mount went close, before United’s best chance coming in the 35th minute through Bruno Fernandes.

It was Giroud who broke the deadlock just minutes before the break, flicking a neat shot with the outside of the left foot.

Mount doubled the advantage shortly after the restart, capitalising on De Geas goalkeeping blunder.

Chelsea will now take on Arsenal, who beat Man City in their semi final fixture in the finals.
