“The Bench” by Meghan Markle to be available in June – KBC

Meghan Markle will publish a children’s book inspired by Harry and Archie

Meghan Markle is set to publish her first children’s book called The Bench. The book will be available from June 8th, published by Random House and illustrated by Caldecott-winning artist Christian Robinson.

The book illustrates the story of the bonds between fathers and sons as told from the perspective of their mothers.

In a statement released by the duchess, the story was inspired by her husband, Prince Harry and their son Archie. In the statement, she writes, “The Bench started as a poem I wrote for my husband on Father’s Day, the month after Archie was born. That poem became this story.”

The book features fathers and sons from all walks of life making it a book for multicultural families across the world.

Meghan and Prince Harry are expecting a second child, a daughter, this year.
