Eric Omondi Says He Owns Choppers After His Grand Entrance

Self-proclaimed president of comedy Eric Omondi has claimed ownership of a helicopter that he arrived in at Moran Lounge restaurant, off Kiambu Road in Nairobi. In a video seen by litkenya.com, Eric said that being a ‘president’ and also a Luo, he ought to live such a lifestyle. ‘Luo is not a tribe but a calling,’ he bragged.

In a candid interview with YouTuber Eve Mungai, he alleged that he owns two choppers, one for business and the other personal errands. As much as Eve teased him to stop lying to her, Omondi stuck to his narrative on the two choppers.

“On a serious note Eve, I’m giving you an exclusive that’s why I called you here. Hiyo chopper umeona apo hiyo ni yangu ya president hakuna president in the whole world mwenye hana ndege (The chopper you have seen is mine. There is no president in the world that doesn’t own an aeroplane). So people should not be shocked kama mimi ni president wa ukweli lazima nikue na ndege because it is not a luxury it is a necessity,” he said.

He revealed that he allegedly bought the two choppers a month ago for Ksh350 million each. However, the information on the ‘Who Owns Kenya’ website indicates that the said chopper belongs to the Devki Group and has even been used by several politicians before.

The comedian, who was surrounded by heavily built bodyguards, made a grand entrance that brought to a halt the Luo Festival held on Sunday, 1st August.
