An employee of a bus company has been charged with raping a university student.
Ibrahim Malukani Hamisi, who works for Modern Coach, appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi and denied the charges.
The court heard that the 34 year old Malukani raped the victim, a student of Nazerene University student on July 25, 2021 at Ridgeview Hotel along Jainsala Road in Nairobi within Nairobi County.
Malukani was charged with an alternative count of committing an indecent act and assault.
He was released on a cash bail of Sh300,000 with an alternative bond of Sh500,000 with similar surety.
The matter will be mentioned on September 9 for pre-trial.
