The Government will kick off a countrywide exercise of reinstating Persons with Severe Disability Cash Transfer (PwSD- CT) beneficiaries that were left out of the Consolidated Cash Transfer Programme Management Information System (CCTP MIS) on 31, August,2021.
The exercise will be conducted through the State Department for Social Protection led by National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) in all the 47 counties across the country retargeting 12,464 beneficiaries that were previously registered under the PwSD -CT.
The retargeting exercise that will end on 24, September 2021 involves locating Households that were previously benefiting from the PwSD cash transfer and not targeting new beneficiaries.
A total of 290 enumerators have already been shortlisted to carry out the retargeting exercise. Enumerators will undertake the listing and registration exercise for households traced and that meet the criteria for PwSD programme. Disability Services Officers, Children Officers and Social Development Officers in the 47 counties will also assist in the exercise.

Beneficiaries who are now deceased, untraceable or have relocated will be recorded, update forms filled, and later be replaced. The Government is advising care givers to acquire the necessary documents for the exercise i.e., Kenyan national ID, birth certificate and a passport photograph of the person with severe disability.
According to PS, State Department for Social Protection, Mr. Nelson Marwa, a similar exercise will be carried out targeting other cash transfer beneficiaries i.e., Orphans and Vulnerable Children and Older Persons 70+ later.
