Jamaican star Etana pays courtesy call to Nairobi DG Kananu – The Star, Kenya

Jamaican Reggae artiste, Shauna McKenzie, popularly known Etana, on Wednesday paid a courtesy call to Nairobi Acting Governor, Ann Kananu, ahead of her concert this weekend.
Etana is set to perform at the Pamoja Live concert which will be the first biggest concert after the curfew was lifted last week.
“The Pamoja Live Concert will promote the youth businesses; flea markets and local vendors will be able to market and sell their products during the duration of the event. I fully support youth empowerment and self sustenance,” Kananu said.
She also commended President Uhuru Kenyatta for lifting the curfew, which in return has provided a platform for youth businesses to thrive.
On her part, the Jamaican artiste said she was elated that her concert will be hosted in Nairobi, Capital of Kenya.
The “Love Song” hitmaker will be the major headliner for the concert scheduled at the Water front, off Ngong Road.
Also present at City Hall was County Executive Committee members: Winnie Gathagu, Newton Munene, Hiten Majevdia and Charles Kerich as well as Members of the County Assembly.
