94 Test Positive For Covid-19 as 38 More Recover

The Ministry of Health on Thursday, 11th November, announced 94 new Covid-19 cases from 6,765 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

This brings to 254,151 the total number of confirmed cases from the 2,757,038 tests done so far. The country’s positivity rate now stands at 1.4 per cent.

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said in a statement that from the cases, 91 are Kenyans while three are foreigners, with 55 being males and 39females. The youngest is a four-year-old baby while the oldest is 83.

Some 38 patients have recovered from the disease, with 33 from the home-based isolation and care programme and five from various health facilities. The total number of recoveries is 247,527.

The national death toll rose to 5,315 after one patient succumbed to the virus.

There are 405 patients are currently admitted to various health facilities countrywide, while 1,059 are under the home-based Isolation and care programme.

There are 30 patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 15 of whom are on ventilatory support and 15 on supplemental oxygen. No patient is under observation.

Another 111 patients are separately on supplemental oxygen with 110 of them in general wards and one patient in High Dependency Unit (HDU).

Vaccination: As of 10th November 2021, a total of 5,813,553 vaccines had so far been administered across the country. Of these, 3,842,614 were partially vaccinated while those fully vaccinated were 1,970,939.
