Kisumu Official Arrested Over Kondele Violence

DCI officers in Kisumu have arrested a suspect accused of leading a mob that stoned DP William Ruto’s motorcade in Kondele last week.

The man has been identified by police as Wilson Aminda, a Kisumu county law enforcement officer.

Aminda is believed to have led a group that caused chaotic scenes during Ruto’s tour of Kondele.

The suspect was reportedly pictured carrying stones among a crowd of unidentified youth in photos that went viral on social media.

Aminda was arrested on Monday and detained at the Kondele police station.

He is expected in court later on Tuesday to be charged with malicious damage of property and incitement to violence.
