Celebrated Mugithi maestro Samuel Muchoki aka Samidoh returned to the country for a warm reception.
Samidoh was received at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) by his children, friends, and colleagues.
The artistes caused a scene at the airport after welcoming their counterpart with songs and dances.
They played their instruments, sang, and danced, attracting attention from tens of travelers.
“It feels good to be back home. Thank God for journey mercies. Thank you, my people, for the warm welcome. From tomorrow, we are hitting the ground running,” he said.
The singer left the country on November 4 for a series of performances in the United States. He entertained his fans in different States.
Fascinatingly, some of his shows in the US attracted non-Kenyans, including Americans.
“I have enjoyed my tour of the US. The love has been massive. I always make sure my fans go home happy regardless of whether they are blacks or whites,” he said in a recent interview.
One would have expected that after arriving in Kenya he will take a short break, but that’s not the case.
He is already booked for back-to-back performances during this festive season.
