Low passenger numbers have forced Kenya Railways to halt its inter-city train services until January 3rd, 2022. The Kenya Railways says passenger numbers have dropped by more than 60 percent as most people are on holiday. The rail operator says it will in the meantime focus on its Madaraka express trains and long-distance Safari trains to Nanyuki and Kisumu city.
