Teams from Kenya Power technical and Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (KETRACO) are Tuesday evening working to locate another fault that has developed with the 220Kv Suswa-Embakasi power transmission.
According to a statement, the fault with the line which evacuates power to Athi River, Embakasi and City Center bulk substations has resulted in power outage affecting sections of Nairobi Central Business District, Embakasi, Kilimani, Hurlingham, Syokimau, Athi River, Kitengela, Mlolongo and adjacent areas.

Kenya power says they are working to rectify and restore supply as soon as possible.
Earlier, a widespread power blackout Tuesday morning disrupted business in various parts of the country after the Kiambere-Rabai transmission line went off.
The line evacuates power from the 168-megawatt Kiambere Hydropower Station, which is part of the Seven Forks hydropower stations located along Tana River.
