Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has dismissed the much hyped earthquake by Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi terming it a failed project.

Speaking in Likuyani during a meeting with leaders from Kakamega and Trans Nzoia Counties, Oparanya said for long Mudavadi has been deceiving Western region that he is running for presidency yet he is pushing to propel United Democratic Alliance (UDA) at the expense of the community.

“That was a failed earthquake that was hyped for nothing. As a community we remain firmly in Azimio la Umoja and support Rt Hon Raila Odinga for Presidency,” said Dr Oparanya.

He said the new alliance between ANC and UDA has given space for Azimio la Umoja to enjoy majority support in Western.

He said by Wiper and KANU leaders Kalonzo Musyoka and Gideon Moi respectively walking out of ANC NDC at Bomas signalled the end of One Kenya Alliance (OKA).

“OKA is now dead. As a community we will be in Azimio and form the next Government,” he said.

Saboti MP Hon Caleb Amisi asked Mudavadi with his new found UDA allies to end historical injustices meted against other communities by UDA politicians who they termed as ‘madoadoa’.

“Let them compensate our people who have been affected by their careless statements of divisive politics and threats,” said Amisi.
