  • Wavinya Ndeti, the Chief Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Works, has resigned.

The CAS announced her resignation on Friday, February 4. In her address to the press, Wavinya noted that she will now focus her energy and time on campaigning to succeed Alfred Mutua as the Machakos Governor.

Wavinya thanked President Uhuru Kenyatta for the opportunity accorded to her to serve in the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

“Kenya will never be the same again with the infrastructure we have now. We have worked with the President well and I thank him so much,” she stated.

She also took the opportunity to officially announce her Machakos gubernatorial bid.

“This time around the people of Machakos are ready. They want to take their county back through Wavinya Ndete, who is their daughter; born and bred there,” she stated.
