Ababu appointed Ruto’s campaign Head of International Relations

Deputy President William Ruto has appointed CAS Ababu Namwamba as the Head of International Relations at the WSR Presidential Campaign.

In a statement, the Hustler Nation welcomed Ababu’s appointment saying he brings a wealth of expertise and broad experience as a Leader, Lawyer, Politician, Diplomat and Public Servant.

“We have worked closely with Ababu over the past 10 years on many fronts and I have come to value his leadership, experience, focus, and empathy. It is because of those qualities that I could not be more grateful to have him in our campaign team. With his considerable diplomatic talents, deep knowledge of the continent, strong network in the global stage and unwavering determination, I am confident in his role, leading international relations within my presidential campaign,” DP Ruto said.

Ababu is currently the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade where he has played and active role on the international lobbying circuit, advocating for international human rights and fair-trade practices.

It was during his tenure as Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs that the long desired Sports Act was enacted as well as the actualizing of the National Youth Council, strengthening of the National Youth Service (NYS)and Streamlining the National Youth Enterprise Fund.
