Tight Battle as 3 Top Comedians Eye Jalang’o Spot at Kiss FM

The race to replace celebrated comedian Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o at Kiss FM has started and it seems the battle has narrowed down to three.

Jalang’o resigned yesterday to join politics. He is aspiring to become the next Member of Parliament for Lang’ata Constituency in Nairobi.

Kiss FM is looking for a perfect replacement that will fit in Jalang’o enormous shoes.

Kamene Goro and Jalang’o’s chemistry on-air has made Kiss breakfast show one of the most popular morning programmes on radio.

Now, Owago Onyiro, Oga Obinna and Dr Ofweneke have been suggested as potential fill-in.

This morning, Owago was the guest presenter on the show.

“Good morning my loves! Our guest presenter today is Owago. Leo breakfast ni pork eyes?” Kamene wrote on her Instagram page.

Some fans approved him while others did not feel his vibe.

“Kamene, if you let Owago go, you will never laugh again. I honestly think he is the best replacement,” Gad Licha said.

Another fan, Miss Orare commented: “Kamene, comedians are not necessarily radio presenters. Cast the net wider.”

The other two recommendations are also expected to appear on the show before the station and fans decide who deserves the spot.

The lucky comedian is likely to get a short-term contract because Jalang’o might make a comeback.

Should he fail to clinch the ODM ticket, the entertainer has made it clear that he will abandon the race and go back to radio.

Also, if he gets the ODM nomination and loses in the August election, Kiss has promised to re-hire him.

“I will wash my hands from the race if I don’t get nominated under Azimio la Umoja ticket,” Jalang’o said, adding the ODM is the surest way of winning the seat.
