Political temperatures are rising day by day as we approach the 2022 General Elections. With politicians hitting the ground in a bid to drum up support for their desired elective seats, Presidential aspirant Prof George Wajackoyah seems to be the ‘highest man in the room’ with double strategies.

Aside from wooing Kenyans to vote for him as the fifth President of Kenya, Wajackoyah is pressing for the legalization of bhang and says that it should be approved as a trade commodity and also be taxed just like any other goods. He plans to smoke bhang during his swearing ceremony after being announced a winner.

“There are a lot of good things that come out of this plant. I have never smoked, but I intend to smoke that day when I am elected as President. As soon as I am sworn in, I will smoke the first joint,” he said in an interview on KTN.

Further, Wajackoyah stated that his first action in office will be purifying the arms of government, such as the legislature, which has always been marred by social evils such as corruption. This will be done by giving everyone a roll of bhang and a lighter to smoke in these government institutions.

“I will invite everyone in State House to come and smoke so that we can purify State House, KICC, then go to parliament to purify it from these dangerous criminals who have been looting this country.”

He asserted that he is not advocating for a smoking nation but says that bhang is healthy and Kenyans will benefit from its proceeds, which is going to make the country rich and finally cut ties from countries such as China which has been loaning Kenya.

“That will be the purification side of it. Not a smoking nation. We are going to celebrate because we are going to make money out of it,” he said.

He wondered why sections of Kenyans have been jailed for using or trading in a God-given plant.
