Suna East MP Junet Mohamed is on the spot after he was captured on camera having a nasty moment with his Mvita counterpart Abdulswamad Nassir.

In a clip trending on social media networks, Junet and Nassir are seen having a heated exchange during Azimio la Umoja rally at Tononoka grounds on Sunday.

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, who was watching the two scold each other, can also be seen throwing a word.

After Nassir took his seat, the Suna East lawmaker continued to lecture him before he pushed his head using a finger. Nassir did not retaliate.

However, the short video could not explain the cause of the fight.

Some Kenyans have condemned Junet for assaulting and disrespecting a fellow leader.

Others said they could not judge until they get the whole story.
A section of netizens opined that the altercation had everything to do with the Mombasa gubernatorial race.

Nassir is facing still competition from businessman Suleiman Shahbal for the ODM ticket.

During the Sunday event, supporters of the two aspirants clashed and caused chaotic scenes.

The former Prime Minister was forced to intervene and assure supporters that the ODM nominations will be free and fair.

He also urged Nassir and Shahbal to stick with the party event after one of them gets the coveted ticket.

Recently, Shahbal claimed that Nassir did not have a degree certificate. He challenged him to produce his academic credential and prove him wrong.

However, the Mvita MP dismissed the Shahbal as a “busybody” throwing tantrums after sensing defeat.

Nasir has been an ODM loyalist for at least ten years while the tycoon defected from Jubilee Party last year.
