DP Ruto arrives in Washington for US tour

Deputy President William Ruto has arrived in Washington DC ahead of his United States of America tour.

The Deputy President arrived early Monday and was received by Kenya’s Ambassador to the United States, Lazarus Amayo.

During his tour, DP Ruto is expected to share his thoughts on foreign policy, democracy and governance and expound his economic vision for Kenya and Africa.

According to a statement by Head of International Relations in Ruto’s camp Ababu Namwamba, Ruto is set to meet amoing others, officials of the State Department and the Pentagon as well as the US Government National Security Council (NSC).

“He will also speak at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and at the University of Arizona’s Washington Entrepreneurship Hub,” said Namwamba.

He added that the DP’s trip seeks to strengthen ties with the country’s traditional friends and partners.

The Deputy President will conclude his USA trip with a meeting with Kenyans in the Diaspora.
