Wangui Wambeca is struggling to come to terms with the untimely death of her only child, baby Andy.

According to social media reports, Wangui’s son allegedly was beaten up by the house help in one of the estates in Nairobi.

Multiple sources indicate that the suspect was employed on a Monday and the following day she assaulted the baby when the mother was away. She was fired on Wednesday.

The boy, who was barely two years, was crying uncontrollably when the mother took him to the hospital.

After the medical examination, it was established that he suffered internal injuries. Sadly, he succumbed to the injuries on Saturday.

“Rest in peace, son,” Wangui wrote on his Facebook page.
As at last evening, the alleged culprit, a 22-year-old woman, whose we will not reveal, for now, was still at large.

Kenyans have taken to social media platforms to condemn the suspect and console the mother.

Radio presenter Nyoxx wa Katta said: “The person who was supposed to watch over him broke him and took his life away. How does one tell the mother it will be okay? How does one start from here? I whisper a word of deep prayer to the mother.”

Secular musician Sarafina Salim wondered how a woman can be so cruel to an innocent soul that cannot defend himself.

“This is painful. Justice to the young soul. Wangui Wambeca, I am very sorry,” she said.

However, there is another narrative being peddled on social media.

Some people claim that the baby fell from the first floor of an apartment.

They claim that the suspect was washing clothes when the accident happened.

However, questions have been raised as to why she did not inform the mother and why she went into hiding.
