Registrar of political parties: Two coalitions cannot merge unless they collapse

The registrar of political parties now says constituent parties cannot belong to more than one coalition according to section 7 of the political parties amendment Act 2021. Appearing before the National Assembly Justice, Legal Affairs and Committee, Assistant Registrar of Political Parties Ali Abdullahi also submitted that coalitions cannot partner with another coalition unless they register as one outfit.
