Kwemoi, Obiri Shine in N Kolay Half Marathon

Kenya’s Rodgers Kwemoi and Hellen Obiri are the winners of the 17th edition of the N Kolay 2022 Istanbul Half Marathon held on Sunday, 27th March.
Kwemoi won the men’s race in a new course record of 59:14 leading his compatriots; Daniel Mateiko, Emmanuel Bor, Edmond Kipngetich and Brian Kwemoi to clinch the top five spots.
In the women’s category, World 5000m champion Obiri won the race in 1:04:50 ahead of Ethiopians Tsehay Gemechu and Bekelech Gudeta who finished second and third respectively in 1:05:52 and 1:06:35.
The 17th edition of the N Kolay Half Marathon was held in two categories, 10 kilometers and 21 kilometers, with more than 650 foreign athletes from 65 countries in participation.
