Betty Hamisha Album Launch – Kenya Satellite News Network

Betty Hamisha, whose actual full name is Elizabeth Kanee, is a Kenyan-American of Kenyan heritage who was born in Central Kenya, Maragua District  and now resides in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She is a parent and the family’s second child.

Her upbringing was ordinary, and she struggled, yet she is grateful to God that all worked out well.

Betty is a God-fearing lady, ambitious, determined, and go-getter who has worked and traveled in various African nations before finally settling here a few years ago.

Working hard, ethics, and respect for others, she believes, always pay out in the end. It was because of her ideals that she pushed herself to overcome tension and monotony through the pandemic by producing music to encourage her fellow Kenyans.

She has written and produced 12 songs so far, with more on the way. Nîtwaumanirwo, Wasi Wasi, Betty Mathibidi, Cirû and Kwandûka are some of her hit songs.

Betty is a community member and leader in a variety of migrant communities groups, including GWITU (Gikuyu women in the USA, UK, and Canada), which focuses on teaching Kikuyu language and members collaborate to create relationships that aid in knowing a few standpoints to understand Kikuyu heritage, women empowerment, financial advice,  psychological health, and career planning, to name a few.

She intentionally builds networks and also founded a forum called Diaspora Soul Connect, that was founded during the pandemic and now has over 10,000 followers. The forum’s aim is to connect singles abroad to find friendships or soul partners.

Betty has gotten the privilege of serving as a brand ambassador for Willstone Homes, one of Kenya’s top real estate companies.

She was also sponsored by African Touch Adventures.
