About KenGen
Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC (KenGen) is the largest power producer in Kenya and supplies more than 65% of the country’s power needs.
In recent news as we reported, the completion of the construction of KenGen’s Olkaria Unit 6 brought the company’s geothermal power generation capacity up to 796 MWe. With this, the share of KenGen’s geothermal installed capacity has increased to about 42%.
