Safaricom Plc has launched a link to enable sim card re-registration.
This follows days of complaints by Kenyans, most of who vowed not to queue in front of Safaricom shops to get their details taken afresh.
Today is the deadline for the exercise that was initiated by the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA).
Safaricom clients will no longer have to queue.
The Telco, which has 42.8 million mobile subscribers, follows in the footsteps of its competitors Telkom Kenya and Airtel Kenya who have been allowing their customers to submit their details online.
How come the system is only working when using Safaricom data? Not any other internet providers, I tried updating on JTL wi-fi kept on getting an error, then was said to make sure my Safaricom data is switched on

It’s always good to make services more accessible with the growing, technology, with busy schedules how did they expect people to make those long queues, someone was ready to let it go.. pic.twitter.com/SVfI2rkuZF
