OPPO sees increased uptake of its 5-ready devices in Kenya

The expected full rollout of 5G in Kenya has prompted mobile phone manufacturers such as OPPO to unveil 5G-ready devices in the local market.

The super-fast network is expected to enhance the growth of ICT sector in the country.

OPPO is the latest company to announce the launch of its Reno 7 5G in the country later this month as it eyes young consumers.

OPPO expects the uptake of 5G-ready devices to increase in the country with the launch of the Reno 7 series in the country later this month.

“The OPPO Reno 7 brings out the latest styles and design technology to users through the introduction of the self-developed Fiberglass-Leather Design with a simple but effective spliced camera design.

The Communications Authority Of Kenya (CA), the country is expected to establish 150 5G sites across the country within a year since the trial by Safaricom began in March last year.

Kenya and South Africa are the only African countries that are officially trialling out the fifth-generation network even though Uganda, Nigeria, Somalia and Tunisia are also at an advanced stage of joining this list.

The mobile phone manufacturer says Reno 7 5G is targeting to meet young consumers needs with cutting edge video and photography capabilities combined with innovative technology and stylish design to realize uptake of the new series.

“The phone also features the smart design that users have come to expect from the series, with a thin and lightweight body and other practical features to provide a new level of user-friendliness. With these design innovations and more, Reno7 is a portable device built for young users around the world to express their world on their own terms,” said OPPO.

The Reno 7 5G comes with Laser Direct Imaging (LDI) which gives it a glow exterior layer.

OPPO says the series will serve as a portrait expert with both enhanced camera capabilities and a myriad of features that enables users t take professional pictures.

The series also comes with a professional-level imaging system which makes photography easy.
