Britney Sweeney Samboja, the daughter of Taita Taveta Governor Granton Samboja, was overjoyed when she achieved an A-minus score in the recently announced KCSE results.
Britney, a Kenya High School student, credits her achievement to her parents and instructors, in addition to hard work and God’s favour.
“My family was the most important source of support throughout my high school years. My teachers also played an important part, and above all, God has been my greatest ally. My performance astounded me because I had not expected to do so well,” she remarked.
Britney is optimistic that she will be able to pursue her ambition of studying Interior Architecture in Australia now that she has received her grade.
Governor Samboja noted that while he was aware of his daughter’s academic abilities, he was taken aback because he had not expected her to achieve such a high grade.
He stated that he is willing to go to any length to ensure that his daughter’s goal of studying in Australia comes true.
“I’m willing to help her in any way I can to ensure that she accomplishes her ambition of becoming an interior architect,” he stated, even if it meant selling his land holdings.
Britney’s mother, Stella Samboja, described her as a “beautiful, intelligent, and God-fearing girl”.
“She is as gorgeous as she is intelligent and obedient. I’ve never had any issues with her during her childhood, and her accomplishment is well-deserved,” Stella stated.
