One of retired President Mwai Kibaki’s grandsons has been on the receiving end for the better part of the day after a video of him allegedly refusing to handshake ODM leader Raila Odinga went viral.

In the clip, which we can now confirm was doctored, the young man turned back when the former Prime Minister stretched his hand for greetings.

However, KBC has shared the original that show that he greeted the former Prime Minister.

In the new clip, the boy can be seen handshaking Raila before hiding his face.

Actually, the reason why he turned back is because he is camera shy and did not want his face captured by a photo journalist who was keen to record the moment.

In the fake video, that part of the cameraman was edited out to create a certain impression.

Supporters of Deputy President William Ruto and Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga were already trading barbs after the incident.

Those loyal to the DP declared the young man a “hero” for acting real whole Raila’s camp claimed that he was a “spoilt child”.

The truth is, he was cheered and trolled for nothing.
