Chumvi na Maombi: Rachel Ruto Stirs Reactions After Purifying Dirty Water

Deputy President William Ruto’s wife Mama Rachel Ruto has drew criticism and support among Kenyans after revealing that she purified dirty borehole water at their Karen residence.

She claimed that this occurred after they had been dealing with water problems for a long time and had tried every possible solution without result.

She described how DP Ruto was obliged to spend a large sum of money on a purification machine, which ultimately proved to be useless.

The Lord then reminded Mama Rachel of the Bible tale of Elisha and the people of Jericho in 2 Kings 2:19-22.

The locals contacted Elisha, as described in the Bible verse, to complain about the filthy water, which they said was making their land unproductive.

“When the Lord spoke to me about this scripture and the narrative of Jericho in 2018, I remembered our water here in Karen,” Mama Rachel remarked.

“Recently, the purifying machines have had a lot of issues, and I recall we spent a lot of money on them, and I had contacted my crew from Eldoret to come and fix them for us. After a week, the water was once again unclean. And our boy was becoming increasingly frustrated.”

Mama Rachel described how she was originally unsure of the act and her ability, and how she told herself that she couldn’t do it and that she should instead contact a preacher or a prophet.

She persuaded herself, though, to merely try.

“I went to the office for a meeting the other Wednesday, then went to pray, then decided to go to the residence and check what was going on. The Lord reminded me of that water when I arrived. Do you recall what I did? I went to the kitchen, got a bowl, added salt, and went to the borehole, declaring Elisha’s words. ‘This water will never be unclean again!’ I said. I also doused the borehole with water.”

“I went to the house on Friday and noticed the water seemed different. So I waited for the guests to go before calling Shadrack and asking, ‘Shadrack, what happened to the water?’ ‘Mum, I’m not sure what happened to the water, but it’s now clean,’ he explained. I’m not even filtering the water; I’m just pumping it from the borehole to the tank. And we started thanking God.”

Her story attracted a lot of reactions.

Vickie Blessing: “Why can’t this most prayerful lady pray against corruption in Kenya ? Why can’t she pray God to touch ALL those who have stolen our money through corruption to return ? We are waiting for that one prayer woman of God.Pray Mama until all corrupt leaders run everywhere confessing!”

Joseph Akal sarcastically wrote: “What a prayerful woman! She will now start praying for Arror and Kimwarer dams to be filled with water to the brim, in six months time. If this woman becomes the first lady, corruption will be a thing of the past in Kenya, thanks to her ”easeless prayers’!”

Chepkerio Mtetezi: “Nothing is impossible with God. DP RUTO’s family is indeed God’s people.”

Amin Cockar: “I am waiting for her to pray for the return of Kimwarer and Arror dams money.”
