Six people perished on Friday in a road accident involving a lorry and a matatu at Governor’s area along Narok-Bomet Road
According to area Sub-County Police Commander Mr Frederick Shiundu, the two vehicles collided head-on at midday. Five other passengers were seriously injured and are undergoing treatment at Narok County Referral Hospital.
The police said the driver of the trailer driving towards Bomet lost control before ramming the following a tyre burst. The matatu belonging to Ena Coach was heading in the opposite direction.
“Those injured have been rushed to the Narok County Referral Hospital. The bodies of the victims were taken to the mortuary and five have positively been identified”, explained Shiundu.
