Alex Nderi, popularly known as DJ Lithium, was laid to rest yesterday at his Mugwambogo Village in Embu County.
The renowned Afrohouse and EDM spinmaster had his final twitch after committing suicide while at Capital FM offices in Nairobi.
“He was a nephew, cousin, uncle, and a friend to many. Those we love live in our hearts forever,” the family mourned him.
Lithium was turning 33 this year. He hosted a Friday show dubbed Club Capital Show from 11:00 PM to 2 AM and on the Jam Fridays from 3 PM to 7 PM.
His workmate, Nadia Favre, eulogised the DJ as a person who was kind to everyone and a lover of his radio job.
“Alex was a kind, gentle and creative man. A patient producer and spectacular DJ. I will miss seeing his face every morning. Rest in peace, DJ Lithium.”
