All international flights suspended over Coronavirus, CS Kagwe

Government has suspended all international flights with effect from Wednesday March 25th.

Only cargo flights will be allowed to fly in the country but the crew must adhere to the guidelines spelt out by the government.

Speaking during a press briefing, the Health Cabinet Secretary said persons coming into the country between now and Wednesday will undergo mandatory quarantine at a government designated facility at their own expense.

He further noted that countries wishing to evacuate their nationals must make their arrangements to do so within the said period.

The CS advised Kenyans in foreign countries to observe the guidelines issued in the respective countries they are residing at the moment.

CS Kagwe further warned that all persons Kenyans and foreigners who violate the self-quarantine requirement will be forcefully quarantined for a full period of 14 days at their cost, and thereafter arrested and charged under the Public Health Act.
