The obstacles contest is a series of physical barriers that an individual must navigate while being timed. Some require the competitor to run, climb, crawl, swim, jump, and balance elements with the objective of testing speed, agility, endurance, and mental disposition.
American Ninja Warrior obstacles list
American Ninja Warrior is an American sports competition based on Sasuke, which is a Japanese television series. Over a hundred sportsmen and women participate in the game whose ultimate goal is to finish a series of barriers.

Rolling barrel
It involves running across a slow spinning barrel. As they do so, they have to maintain their balance and ensure that they get over it within the shortest time possible.
Spider jump
A mini-trap is used by competitors to move across two walls. Participants use their hands and legs to ascend the barrier. It requires stability and strength.

Tarzan rope
It consists of five strings hanging from the scaffolding above, and over the water. A participant makes his or her way across a bunch of ropes using his hands to make it to the next obstacle. He or she must stay at the bottom of the barrier.
Spinning log
It is the most deceiving of all the barriers. It involves running across a free-spinning log. Weight distribution is the key to conquering this barrier.
Devil steps
It requires a participant to ascend 20 feet up and down the steps. Grip strength is necessary for this obstacle. It is one of the hardest barriers in the American Ninja Warrior to circumvent.

Curtain slider
Competitors run and grab the silk to slide and then use the momentum to grab another silk to get to the platform.
Arm rings
Arm rings are exciting items in the American Ninja Warrior. Participants grab onto two rings and then use the momentum to move the rings across the rack. The left rack will go up, and the right one will go down.
Salmon ladder
It is one of the most iconic obstacles in the American Ninja Warrior. Salmon ladder is a finicky barrier which has a tiny margin for error. Competitors use upper body strength and momentum to move the bar up to five rungs.

Spinning wheel
Competitors must grab on to the wheel. Then they must hold on as the wheel turns. It’s the rolling escargot, and it requires strength and stability.
Captain’s wheel
Participants grab a bar placed before them and make an effort to reach the first wheel. They rotate it until its most extended spike is locked onto the post. The participants then traverse the most extended spike and then make a transition to the second wheel.
Double twister
It has two sets of free-spinning arch-shaped handles. It allows one to swing and spin at the same time. Participants jump from a springboard to hold on the first set of hurdles and then transition to the second set of barriers.

Diamond dash
It consists of four diamond-shaped discs. They disks freely float, and a participant has to run across then while maintaining his or her balance. The second and fourth discs are placed slightly lower compared to the first and third disc. Landing on the centre of the disc would result in a forward or backward flip.
The hinge
Players hold onto the board in front of them. They rotate it on a 90-degree direction clockwise. After that, they make a 180-degree jump to the next board.
Walk the plank
Participants crawl up a see-saw board, which starts to tip gradually. Then time their jump from the board to grab a bar. He or she then slides down a track.
Quintuple steps
The obstacle has five angled podiums that are five feet wide. The competitors run across these platforms. He has to ensure that he maintains balance and speed.

Log grip
A competitor holds onto a log and slides through the track. In seasons three and four, the logs had holes where the participant would grip. However, in seasons six, the wood had handholds instead of holes.
What is the last obstacle on American Ninja Warrior?
American Ninja Warrior has so far run eleven seasons. In each season, the obstacles are placed in the order of increasing difficulties.

American Ninja Warrior obstacles names for those that have been placed last in the past seasons are as follows.
Spring forward
It consists of three bars, and each is connected to a spring at the end. Participants move from one bar to another and then descend to the landing platform.
Unstable bridge
The players grab onto a bridge that is suspended on all four corners. They use their arms to move across and jump to the next bridge suspended in the middle.
Cargo climb
Involves climbing up a cargo net. The participant relies on the gripping power of his fingers and toes. To go past this stage, one requires an excellent cardiovascular and strength training.

Spider climb
Competitors use their feet, hands, and strength to climb up the 30 feet chute. The basic concept is that competitors must climb two parallel walls like a spider. However, he or she must move upward and not forward. It has been the final obstacle for every finals course for seasons five and six.
Ninjago roll
It is one of the first eight obstacles that featured in the American Ninja Warrior. It served to promote The Lego Ninjago Movie. Competitors roll a 150-pound cylinder across a long curved track.
Rope ladder
Participants climb up the cargo net. This obstacle has been the final obstacle for every finals course in season four. It requires strength and agility.

Ninja hooks
These are similar to the Ninja grips in the American Ninja Warrior. The kids hold onto the hooks and use them to cross the barrier. The children can play monkey bars using these hooks.

Tire tunnels
Tires are arranged close to one another to form what looks like a tunnel. Children crawl through a tunnel from one end to the other. It is fun.
Sandbags
Sandbags make the perfect object to carry. Kids will have to take the sandbag over a certain distance. Make them carry the bag uphill for more challenge.
Rope
A rope is a prevalent item in the obstacle race. It is mostly used for climbing, where the participant must climb along the cable to reach the top. The rope can also be used to make a slackline where a rope is fixed firmly at two points, and the kids cross from one end to the other by hanging on the rope.
Ladder
A ladder could be used in different ways and would be a great addition to the kids’ obstacles. The ladders can be used to create a monkey bar by fixing it between tow solid anchor points. The children will use their hands to cross from one end to the other.
Ninja pegboards
The obstacle tests the strength of the participants. Kids traverse the barrier by moving pegs from one hole to the other on the pegboard. For an extra challenge, competitors can place the pegboard vertically.
