AFC Leopards head coach Patrick Aussems has lauded Kenyan International John Makwatta following his positive energy during training weeks after his departure on loan from Kenya Police FC.

The ex-Zesco United striker who struggled with form since he joined the law enforcers at the start of the season from Zambian side is a good addition to Ingwe according to Aussems.

“John has been brilliant in training and we hope he will be instrumental to our campaign this season. He is a good player with much needed experience and our attacking department was strengthened following his arrival. We keep forging ahead and I know things in the future will look pretty cool for us” he told KBC Sports Digital

Leopards meet struggling Vihiga Bullets on Sunday at Nyayo national stadium and the Belgian tactician is optimistic his charges will put a good show to collect three maximum points from their opponents.

In their last match before the break,Ingwe fought from a goal down to thrash Posta Rangers 3-1 in a match staged at Thika Stadium on February 13.

“I don’t always care who I play against whether top side or relegation threatened team. I consider every opponent the same regardless of position on the table and we’ll approach this game with caution and strategy hoping to record great performance and emerge victorious. My boys are in good shape having relaxed sufficiently following the break” the coach added.

The 13-time champions are 11th with 24 points after playing 18 games.

Four matches will be played tomorrow Saturday with Kariobangi Sharks taking on Nzoia Sugar, Nairobi City Stars tackle Mathare United, Kenya Police play Wazito as Ulinzi Stars square it out with KCB.

On Sunday, league leaders Kakamega Homeboys will host Bidco United as Talanta entertain Posta Rangers.

Tusker will be hoping to stretch their unbeaten run to seven matches and in the process close the gap on leaders Homeboyz to four points.
