Kenyan singer and actress Judith Nyambura Mwangi aka Avril has elicited reactions among her Instagram followers after claiming that she is ashamed to say that she is a Kenyan. Well, this is not because there is something wrong with her country, but on the realization that there are many places, she has not visited.

According to Avril, she has never been to Gedi Ruins, despite the fame and money at her disposal. Amazed by the beauty of the site, Avril cited the history attached to it, architecture, archaeology and so on.

She went in to advise her fellow Kenyans and social media users to make efforts and visit the site to see for themselves.

I am ashamed to say that I’m a Kenyan and this is the first time that I’m visiting the Gedi Ruins 😱. The history, superstition, architecture, archeology, oh lord.
