Azziad Nasenya Opens up About Effects of People’s Choice Nomination

TikTok’s celebrity Azziad Nasenya has opened up about her nomination to the E! People’s choice awards.

In an interview with a local publication during Kalasha Awards 2021 edition, the emotional Azziad stated that the nomination has earned her worldwide recognition even though she did not emerge as the winner in the African Social Star category which was flopped by Zimbabwean TikToker Tyra Chikocho AKA Madam Boss who majors on comedy content.

“It was amazing, it is not something you wake up to one day…it is a privilege… I am grateful,” she said.

“It taught me a lot, I was nominated alongside big people, and it is an international award. It was still a win since it is international recognition,” she said.

Azziad is hopeful that she will one day get a chance in Hollywood as an actress following successes of her career as a content creator that has earned her various accolades including a nomination for best TikTok acts at the South African-based Starqt Awards in 2020.

“I was checking my search and from August to early December, my name was across America. I feel like it has had an impact on me as a brand.

I have always wanted to go international… get gigs as an actress and content creator. It is going to be a chance to open international opportunities.” She said.

The People’s Choice Awards is an American brainchild held annually since 1975 and aims at recognizing acts in the entertainment arena who upon nominations can be voted by fans online.
