Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege has hinted at joining Deputy President William Ruto’s camp in a cryptic message.

Posting on his online pages, the second-time lawmaker made brief preaching that was viewed with political lenses.

“Every time we humble ourselves to be desperately dependent on God alone, the battle shifts. Every time we embrace the truth and come out of agreement with the lies, the battle shifts.

“Every time we let go of the past and press on towards the goal of the price of the heavenly calling of God in Christ, the battle shifts. No fear, shifting is taking place,” she wrote.

The post received overwhelming reactions, with some Kenyans insinuating that she was about to switch political camps.

They were intrigued why she insisted on the word “shift” when politicians have been hopping from one side of the political divide to the other.

‘Be blessed for seeing the light. It is time to shift to Ruto’s UDA, a party that fears God,” Samuel Wanjohi commented.

In recent weeks, the legislator has been a steadfast supporter and campaigner of Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

Last month, she came under fire she claimed that the former Prime Minister won the 2017 election, but it was rigged out for President Uhuru Kenyatta.

She was summoned by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to shed light on her allegations.
The Murang’a MP skipped the second hearing at IEBC offices after she fell ill and was admitted to a city hospital.

But after she was discharged, the lawmaker went silent on Raila’s support, fueling speculations that she was listening to the ground.

Sabina is said to be angling for the Kigumo parliamentary seat in Murang’a.
