BBC’s Akisa Wandera Weds in Colorful Traditional Ceremony (Photos)

British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) presenter Akisa Wandera is officially off the market.

The former KTN News reporter tied the knot with his longtime boyfriend in a lavish cultural wedding held on Saturday, 12th March.

The event which took place in her hometown, Mundika in Busia County was attended by his family and close friends.

In a video clip seen by Litkenya.com, Wandera was captured dancing to traditional Luhya songs.

She donned a dazzling maroon dress while the groom had on a light-brown Kaunda suit.

Wandera who has kept her relationship under the wraps becomes the latest celebrity to say bye to singlehood.

Wandera left KTN News in February where she had worked for six years. On her last day at the Standard Group owned station, Wandera bid an emotional goodbye to her loyal viewers.

“Time has come for me to move on to a new assignment, time really does move fast. A mixed bag of emotions for me as I exit this stage. Tonight I bid you goodbye dear viewer with a grateful heart, it has been an immense pleasure and great honour that you have trusted me to inform you for all these years,” she said then.

“Thank you for always tuning in, thank you for the support for these six years I have been on the air here on KTN News. Thank you for all your feedback over the years that have helped me in building this career.”

Wandera later joined the London-based British Broadcasting Corporation where she is working up to date.
