Former k24 anchor, Betty Kyallo, is not the typical traditional wife who gets home from work tired and cooks for the husband. While speaking on her youtube channel, the controversial TV girl said that times have changed and it’s high time men treat their wives like partners and not slaves.
Betty Kyallo said that she works very hard and gets home very late and so, she doesn’t have time to cook and even if she gets married in the near future, her husband should not expect her to come from work and cook for him. She said she does not expect her husband and her leaving home very early in the morning and expects her to cook for him while tired.
She said no man reads the newspaper and wait for her to do it all unless they are helping one another. She further said she does not like to cook and she is not embarrassed about it. She disclosed that she cooks only on special occasions and leaves the house girl to do the cooking most of the time.
In an emotional farewell last Saturday night, Betty thanked all her fans for the time they had been together.
“I really appreciate you all. It is now time for me to say goodbye here on K24 TV. Thank you so much for all the support, I appreciate you, God bless you and I love you,” she said at the end of the Weekend With Betty Bulletin.
It seems Betty had everything worked out in anticipation of her exit. This month, she launched her YouTube Channel where she has been sharing very intimate details about her life.
She promised her fans that they will continue interacting more on the video-blogging platform.
“If we meet again, great. If not, you know how you can find me on all my social media platforms, Facebook, Instagram and of course my YouTube channel. I’m going to be doing great things there,” she said.
Betty grabbed attention when she joined K24 in September 2018. The TV station publicised her signing on social media and it was believed she would be the first of many good things at the station. They also hired Anne Kiguta to take care charge of the Sunday bulletin.
However, Mediamax has been struggling financially and has been laying off some of its employees. Betty Kyallo is one of the senior journalists who sued the firm after their salaries were slashed over the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, it is not clear at the moment if she voluntarily quit her job or was forced to do so.
