Bishop Margaret Wanjiru Fights Sakaja in Front of DP Ruto (Video)

Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja and former Starehe MP Bishop Margaret Wanjiru caused a scene at one of Kenya Kwanza alliance rallies in the city after their differences played out. Both are eyeing the Nairobi gubernatorial seat.

The cleric was seen approaching Sakaja as he was delivering a speech. She tried to grab the microphone from him.
However, the lawmaker did not let go of the mic, triggering a confrontation that fell shy of rolling in a fistfight.

Deputy President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza co-principals, ANC chief Musalia Mudavadi and Ford-Kenya’s Moses Wetangula were present.

Sakaja lashed out at Wanjiru, saying she should have some decorum.

“As Kenya Kwanza, we should give every person in our team the chance to speak. When you are annoyed with the music playing on the radio, you don’t destroy the electronic, you change the station. If you don’t like what a person is saying, just be quiet,” he said.

The partnership between Ruto, Mudavadi, and Wetangula has created confusion in Nairobi, Rift Valley, and Western regions.

Though the principals have played their cards close to their chests, their allies have intimated have hinted the pact could make or break the career of several politicians.

If what is spreading is true, Wanjiru will be among the casualties. According to sources, Mudavadi, in one of his terms, demanded that Ruto’s UDA should not field a gubernatorial candidate.

The ANC leader also required that the wheelbarrow party should not sponsor contestants in Kakamega, Busia, and Vihiga counties.

Similarly, Wetangula wants UDA not to have candidates in Bungoma and Trans Nzoia counties.

During the Kenya Kwanza tour in Bungoma last week, UDA aspirants were disappointed after they were denied a chance to address a rally at Posta grounds.

On the other hand, ANC and Ford-Kenya will not have contenders in Rift Valley.
