BREAKING NEWS: Charles Njonjo is Dead After a Blissful Century

Kenya’s first post-independence Attorney General, Sir Charles Mugane Njonjo is dead, marking a decade of life well lived. He was 101.

According to the family, he passed away on Sunday morning, January 2, 2022.

The cause of death was not immediately revealed.

Njonjo served as the Attorney General, Minister for Constitutional Affairs and Kikuyu MP

He was popularly referred to as “The Duke of Kabeteshire”.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is among leaders and Kenyans who have sent their condolence messages to the family.
