Chaos rocked the Senate as two female nominated senators Beatrice Kwamboka and Mary Seneta exchanged serious blows during the Senate Health Committee officials election.
The two legislators resorted to kicks and blows after Narok Senator Ledama Olekina was elected the committee’s vice-chairperson, a position that Senator Mary was interested in.
It has been said that Mary’s squad had allegedly forged Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga’s signature who was not present during the sitting claiming Omanga’s choice of Health Committee’s vice-chairperson position was Mary.
Kwamboka, who was behind the Narok Senator was agitated by the alleged Omanga’s signature forgery provoking her to go after Mary as Omanga had reportedly endorsed Olekina candidature.
“You cannot tell me anything! I am Raila Odinga’s staunch supporter. I will deal with you thoroughly (sic),” Kwamboka stated as she rose to grab Mary by the neck.
Other lawmakers separated the two senators after engaging in a physical fight that led to the tearing of each other’s clothes.
The Narok Senator who was declared the winner of the Health Committee vice-chairperson seat wasn’t able to give his vote of thanks as the meeting ended prematurely following the scuffle that ensued between the two lawmakers.
