Politician Khadija Theuri from Embakasi in Eastlands has written to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations headquarters seeking the arrest of Embakasi South deputy commissioner Kenneth Gitonga over alleged illegal arrest and harassment of her workers.
The DC was at one time, alleged to have engaged in love affair with Wangare that hit rocks hence now he is on revenge mission.
Wangare who is founder and chairperson of Nyayo za Umoja Party, and a former Maendeleo ya Wanawake chairperson aspirant says that the DC engineered for her arrest late last year on claims that she was a child trafficker yet she had gone to rescue children who were being sexually abused in Mukuru kwa Njenga slums.
“I received information from members of Nyumba Kumi in the area led by chairman Wilson Kibue, secretary Ms Moraa and a member Pastor Mwaura that some children were being abused sexually in one of the houses in the slums.

When we went there the children confirmed it was true and when I went to report the incident at the DO’s office I was arrested alongside the Nyumba Kumi officials on the orders from the DC Gitonga,” said Wangare.
Wangare who also vied for Nairobi woman representative during the last general election but lost to ODM’s Esther Passaris informed the Kenyan Digest that when she was arrested on September 22 last year, she was taken to Mukuru Police Station alongside the three officers, and reappeared there for three other days, September 27, 28 and 29, but the incident was allegedly never booked under the OB as they never recorded any statement over the saga.
She says that her differences with the DC began after she allegedly refused to get married to him when she ended a three- months love affair they had.
The DC according to Wangare has been using some police officers to arrest her workers, take them to different police stations in the city without booking and releasing them late hours as they interrogate them on her whereabouts. She has since written to the DCI, Ipoa and Fida Kenya among other organisations, demanding action to be taken against Gitonga whom when we called him, to verify about the allegations his phone went on unanswered.
