Daggers drawn as final CAF World Cup qualifying draw held

The draw for the final round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying for the Confederation Of African football, CAF has been conducted in Doulla, Cameroon.

Ten teams that topped their respective groups during the second qyualifying round will fight for the five slots allocated to African nations at the World Cup,the number that has been maintained since 1998 finals.

The two legged ties have been planned to be held in March with the winners proceeding to the Finbals of the World Cup scheduled November 21st-18th Dec 2022.

Some of the mouth watering fixtures are expected as giants aim to consolidate their dominance whereas underdogs will be eager to upset the form book.

Nigeria will be out to qualify for their seventh world cup finals when they face rivals and west Africa counter parts Ghana.

The Council for East and central Africa football associations, CECAFA region  will once again miss a representative at the world football showpiece after its representatives fell by the wayside at the group phase of the qualifiers.

Kenya failed to make it from its group that consisted Rwanda, Uganda and Mali with the former clinching the sole third round slot after emerging as group winners.
