Denounce Thievery, PS Kibicho Challenges DP Ruto And Waiguru

Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho has trolled Deputy President Willaim Ruto and Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, accusing them of being corrupt.

Speaking during a meeting with a section of Kirinyaga leaders, Jubilee Party aspirants, and Azimio la Umoja influencers, Dr. Kibicho alleged that the two are the most corrupt individuals in Kenya.

“If you randomly ask anyone to name the two most prominent graft suspects, someone won’t need to scratch their heads thinking about it. The answer is obvious and you know them,” he said.

The PS challenged Dr. Ruto and the county boss to denounce thieving if they were serious about fighting corruption as they have been saying in their political campaign.

“In the Bible, we are told of how Saul became Paul. I also dare them to declare publicly that they have stopped being corrupt. The Damascus moment doesn’t just happen,” he said.

The career civil servant also advised Kirinyaga residents not to accept handouts from politicians.

He told the locals lowest amount of money a voter should receive from a politician is Ksh10,000, arguing that would at least enable one to start a small business.

Dr. Kibicho has been tasked to deliver the Kirinyaga vote to the Azimio movement. ODM leader Raila Odinga is the Azimio presidential candidate and has the backing of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Jubilee leaders and senior government officials from the Mt Kenya region are preparing the ground for the President ahead of his much-anticipated tour.

Meanwhile, Waiguru is leading campaigns for the DP in Kirinyaga. Since joining the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in October last year, she has become an insider in the DP’s camp.

One of the main reasons that made her dump Jubilee is frequent frictions with Kibicho.

She is also hosting the Deputy President in Kirinyaga today, February 17.
