DJ Moz Reveals He Had a Vasectomy, After Radio Man Nick Ndeda Did – LitKenya

Nairobi-based entertainer DJ Moz, real name Moses Kimathi, has revealed that he recently had a vasectomy. The surgical procedure is becoming an option for the few men who don’t believe that only women should bear the burden of using the different family planning methods.

During an interview with Capital FM’s Valentine Njoroge, the renowned disc jockey explained that he could notice his wife was experiencing complications related to birth control and that was when he eventually opted for a vasectomy. However, he said that he had to get his wife’s consent before going through the procedure. 

“I am married and I have been for 13 years. The reality is that the burden of family planning had always been on my wife. My wife had been on the pill for the longest time and it was also not good for and I knew it was affecting her. She and I had this conversation from time to time and we had agreed that I had to stop. We had come to the point where we now had three kids and the cycle had to stop. So, vasectomy became an option,” he said.

DjMoz termed his surgery as successful, adding that he still functions just like his other men.

There was heated debate among men after radio presenter Nick Ndeda revealed that he had undergone the same. This was Nick when announced he had broken up with his girlfriend of seven years, Muthoni Gitau.
