United Democratic Alliance (UDA) chairman Johnson Muthama has cautioned President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga against mistreating and disrespecting Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
Speaking during a campaign rally in Kangundo on Wednesday, 20th April Muthama defended Kalonzo saying that he deserved respect.
“I want to tell the President and Raila Odinga not to mistreat Kalonzo exceedingly. Give him the respect due to him. Where I am in Kenya Kwanza I am respected,” stated Muthama.
“Kalonzo was a Vice President and even if you are not going to give him what he wants, do not disrespect him by sending women like Ngilu to abuse him. Kalonzo should not be made to look like anybody’s prisoner.”
The former Machakos Senator further said that he would carry Kalonzo to Kenya Kwanza Coalition if Azimio continues disrespecting him.
He said that any plans to reduce Kalonzo’s influence in the Ukambani region will not succeed.
President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday, 21st April chaired the first Azimio-One Kenya Alliance Council meeting at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in which they agreed to form an advisory panel that will help in the identification of Raila’s running mate.
