DP Ruto Claims UDA Has an Excellent Track Record

Critics of Deputy President has ridiculed him after he made a claim about the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

Speaking UDA aspirants in next year’s General Election at his official Karen residence, the DP said the wheelbarrow party has an outstanding track record.

Dr. Ruto noted that UDA is the brain behind major development projects implemented by the Jubilee government between 2013 and 2017.

“In UDA, we have a track record, we have demonstrated that we built the railway, we built the roads, we connected electricity, we have a track record,” he said emphatically.

Considering that UDA was formed barely five months ago, opponents of the second in command accused him of peddling lies.

However, pro-Ruto supporters defended him, saying that he meant that he initiated most of the programmes completed by the Uhuruto administration.

And since he is the party leader of UDA, that makes him link the successes of the Jubilee government to UDA, they argued.

Lately, the DP has been running away from the failures of the current government.

He blames his boss President Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga for having misplaced priorities.

According to him, the March 9, 2018 ‘Handshake’ between the President and the former Prime Minister scuttled the Jubilee development agenda, as the focus shifted to constitutional changes through the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

A few months ago, President Kenyatta asked the DP to resign for blowing hot and cold.

“If you are praising the government, stay in, and if you are dissatisfied, get out,” an agitated President said.
