Deputy President William Ruto has finally spoken on the ongoing Jubilee purge that has seen a number of his supporters being kicked out from plum positions in the National Assembly and Senate.

Speaking during a funeral in Nandi County on Friday 3 July, the second in command noted that the fumigation and realignment in the Jubilee party would not stop his presidential bid.

The second in command appealed to Kenyans to pray for him as he completes his second term as the country’s deputy president.

“If you see them coming together because of me, it is because I am not a weak candidate, pray for me.

“Even though there are many challenges in political parties and the country as a whole, all of us need to know that we can only succeed if we work together, ” the DP stated.

The DP further urged the residents not to be influenced by politics that brews bitterness and conflict between them.

“After the purge in Jubilee we have decided that you are either with us or you dine with the opponents,” the DP declared.
