Deputy President William Ruto has broken his silence after he was skipped during the Madaraka Day celebrations at Uhuru Gardens Memorial Park.

Unlike in all other State functions under the Jubilee administration, today there was an offbeat protocol change.

Only President Uhuru Kenyatta addressed the event after entertainment.

Taking to his social media platforms, the DP did not address the issue.

“Joined President Uhuru Kenyatta and Kenyans at Uhuru Gardens to commemorate this wonderful day.

“Today we celebrate 59 years of Madaraka but we must not forget that we are responsible for the next years ahead, we are the makers of this nation, let us choose a path of progress, unity and prosperity,” he said.
