DP Ruto starved as President Uhuru gifts Raila 71M

As DP William Ruto’s office budget was being slashed by half, ODM leader Raila Odinga was reaping the benefits of his pact with President Uhuru Kenyatta. The national government through Treasury has allocated the former premiere office Sh 71M. In the budget, Raila’s office will get 10M for wages for temporary employees, 20M for insurance and motor vehicle costs and 10M for furniture.

President Uhuru Kenyatta no longer cares what Tanga Tanga feels as he continues with his purge on DP William Ruto and his Jubilee allies. In another blow to Ruto, the head of state has slashed his deputy’s office budget in order to incapacitate his political networking and moving around the country.

”DP will reduce his early 2022 campaigns and serve less tea to his campaigners he hosts at his Karen home,” reads a section of report on the Standard on Thursday.

Things took a downward spiral after this year’s Madaraka Day celebration on 1st, when the head of state decided to put the Deputy President’s office under Office of the President. The last week Executive Order NO.1 of 2020 – Organization of Government which has elicited debate amongst lawyers, with some arguing that he has abolished the “sharing aspect” of the presidency with his deputy William Ruto.

The Head of State decided to abolish the office of the Deputy President which is now under him through the executive orders, a move that has rendered the Deputy President William Ruto powerless as he will operate under the president who takes over the DP’s powers to hire and fire.
